Ways to Make Money

What Are the Best Systems for Making Money?

First off, understand that this article is in no way a guide to “get rich quick” or some sort of method to making a living doing next to nothing. This guide is intended to show you some ways to make a little extra money in a short amount of time, perhaps to pay bills or get the last few dollars needed to afford that new car accessory, mp3 player, etc. The following methods listed can be done by just about anyone who is over 18 to make some cash in a hurry.

Donate Plasma

This is probably the easiest as well as the fastest method to earn some extra money. Plasma is found in blood. The average plasma donation center pays between 20 to 30 dollars per donation. Donating plasma is very simple. You can find one of these centers by looking up “plasma centers” in the yellow pages. Once you’ve located a center, simply show up and inform them that you wish to donate.

After asking you a few questions such as whether or not you’ve used any drugs recently, they’ll take a pint of blood. They will then run the blood through a device called a centrifuge, which removes the plasma from the blood, then return the red blood cells to your body. The entire process usually takes a couple of hours so bring a book or something else to keep you busy while you wait.

Sell on eBay

If you haven’t heard of eBay, you’ve probably been living under a rock for the past decade. eBay is an online auction site, where anyone can buy and sell items in the style of an auction where the highest bidder wins. Setting up an account is simple and takes no more than a few minutes. Once you’ve registered with eBay, you’re ready to sell. You can sell all sorts of things on eBay: books, movies, music players, computer equipment, musical instruments…pretty much anything you can think of (anything legal anyway).

To sell, simply write a short description of your item(s) which tells exactly what you’re selling and the condition it’s in, upload a photo of the item(s)if you have one, set a length of time for the item to be up for auction, and set a minimum bid price. Once someone has won your item, you ship it to them after they have made a payment.

Get a Temporary Job

Whether you’re unemployed or already have a job and would like to earn a little extra cash with a second job, temporary work is a great way to go if you want to find work fast. The best way to find a temporary job is by signing up at a temporary employment agency. These agencies are very easy to apply to and they will usually find you work in a very short amount of time. Depending on the job you are assigned to, you may be paid weekly or paid daily. For more information on temporary employment agencies, see my other article here.

Sell to Cash Converters

If you don’t feel that you’re computer-savvy enough to sell on eBay or just don’t feel like taking the time to write out a description and promote the item(s) you’re selling, try taking them to a store called Cash Converters. Cash Converters, which has locations nationwide, is basically an over-glorified pawn shop but they generally pay more for your items than a normal pawn shop would and don’t require proof of ownership, which comes in handy if you’ve lost the sales receipt for your item(s), however I certainly don’t recommend selling anything that doesn’t belong to you.

They accept all sorts of things but pay the most for DVDs, video games, computers, car stereos, and gym equipment. Selling to them couldn’t be simpler; just gather up what you want to sell, drive to their nearest location, and enter the store though the entrance marked “Sell Here.” A sales representative will look over your items to make sure they’re in working order and make you an offer. If you accept, they pay you right there and you’re done.

Write Articles for an Online Content Site

Last but not least, my personal favorite way to make quick cash is to write for an online content site. There are several to choose from, such as Associated Content, Helium, and Constant Content. I would most recommend going with Associated Content. AC is the only one of the 3 sites that offer upfront payment for your articles in addition to a payment bonus based on how many people view your article.

Registration for AC is simple and within minutes you can begin writing your first article for submission. After you submit your writing it usually takes about 2 to 10 days before your article is either accepted of rejected and an offer is made. The average offer is generally between 3 and 10 dollars. You’ll need a paypal account in order to receive payment. You can write and submit as many articles as you like to AC so the sky (as well as your talent as a writer) is the limit with this method.
